Kamala Harris expressed her "deep concern" about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza while meeting with Benny Gantz, a member of Israel's war cabinet.
The White House reports it.
The US vice president "urged Israel to take measures" to increase the entry of aid into the territory threatened by famine by ensuring its "safe distribution", but also "welcomed the constructive approach" of the Israeli authorities in the ongoing hostage negotiations.
Harris also urged Hamas to accept the conditions on the table, according to which the release of the hostages would lead to an immediate six-week ceasefire and allow for an increase in humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
