What are the emerging works in Italy? In the top 10 the technology is predominant, between data protection and management, passing through artificial intelligence and business support functions. Research Emerging Jobs Emerging Italy 2019 emerges, the first of its kind for our country, which reveals the ranking of professional figures and skills that have recorded the highest growth rate in the last 4 years (2015-2019) in Italy, thus outlining some labor market trends in our country. Taking into consideration the Top 10 emerging jobs in LinkedIn research, it is clear that the profiles that are becoming increasingly sought after in our country concern the digital and technological sector, with 7 out of 10 positions clearly linked to software development and data management IT professionals in the business field.

The figure of Data Protection Officer ranks first in the Most Emerging Jobs in Italy, followed by the Salesforce Consultant and the Big Data Developer , to close the podium of the first three positions. In fourth place we find the figure of the Artificial Intelligence Specialist , one of the most innovative professional profiles with the highest growth rate, not only today but also in the future.

Scrolling down the rankings, in fifth place we find the profile of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Specialist, a highly specialized technical figure responsible for optimizing all the phases concerning the design, construction and management of building construction by means of of a software. In sixth place is the emerging figure of the Lending Officer, or that professional deputy to determine and dictate the loan practices of the financial institution for which he works. In seventh place among the emerging works in Italy there is the figure of the Operative Warehouse, better known in Italy as Warehouse Manager, a professional role that, with the constant growth of eCommerce services is experiencing a real evolution of the tasks and of the responsibility. At the eighth and ninth place of the Top 10 there are two other figures associated with the Tech professions, absolutely strategic for the growth and consolidation of the corporate business, such as the Data Scientist and the Cyber ​​Security Specialist. The special list of the 10 emerging professional figures in Italy is closed by the Customer Success Specialist, a new figure in the field of customer relations which, unlike other more “traditional” colleagues in the CRM department, who carry out their duties more reactive manner, they find themselves working proactively within the company and with customers, with the aim of obtaining a satisfactory solution for all those involved. The new jobs, often in the digital field, also emerge in the second 10 positions (Top 20) of LinkedIn Emerging Jobs Italia 2019. Looking at the ranking of the second 10 positions, that is from the 11th to the 20th, we see that in Italy different figures are taking hold professional, however innovative and different from the past, among which the Robotics Engineer and the DevOps Engineer, positioned immediately behind the figure Intensive Care Nurse, all stand out, always in the technological field and for roles directly or indirectly linked to artificial intelligence. 11th place, a highly trained and specialized nursing profile. On the "bottom" of the ranking, in 20th place, there is a further working position linked to the world of technologies, namely the Information Technology Recruiter, an emerging figure in the field of human resources specialistically focused on research on the labor market of best talents with technological skills, further demonstrating the growing importance of "digital" jobs for the future of professionals in Italy. The LinkedIn Emerging Jobs Italia 2019 research clearly demonstrates how increasingly important it is for Italian professionals to have an adequate level of preparation in the technological / STEM field, and the data of this latest research confirm those that emerged in the Recruiter Sentiment 2019 Italy research, carried out by the company Coleman Parkes on behalf of LinkedIn (on a sample of over 300 HR managers in companies and employment agencies from different parts of Italy and active in eight industrial sectors), which revealed that Italian workers still report several shortcomings in terms of digital skills, increasingly fundamental skills to find work and grow professionally in an increasingly fluid and dynamic world, connected and linked to the evolution of technologies and artificial intelligence.

In fact, according to the Italian HR managers among the fundamental professional skills today to enter and grow in the labor market there are: the skills in the technological and coding field (15%), the ability to adequately manage the functions of the Microsoft Office package (14%), social media skills (12%), web design (11%) and data analysis (data analytics) at 10%.
And the industrial sectors in which these skills are even more important are finance (93%), administration (90%), the travel sector (85%) and healthcare (83%).

Thinking of today's workforce available in Italy, Italian recruiters have instead stated that the skills that are most lacking for Italian professionals are their skills in the technological and coding field (36%), problem solving skills (31%), creativity (30%), the ability to manage work times correctly (28%), skills in web design (28%), capacity for collaboration (27%) and a sense of leadership (26%).

In general, 40% of Italian recruiters think that there are not enough candidates with the right digital skills compared to the available jobs. This element, considering also the perspectives dictated by the European Commission in the field of digital competences since 2016, confirms even more that in Italy, even today, there is still much to do to reach the goal of a correct formation in the digital field since from the years of primary and secondary education, to better prepare the new generations to seize the best job opportunities in the near future.
