Only five photographs remain of her daughter. "The killer had all the albums the day he killed her," says Gigliola Bono, mother of Monia Del Pero, a Brescian girl from Manerbio, killed at 19 on the night of Saint Lucia, December 13, 1989.
For that femicide the killer never paid compensation to Monia's family. Now the mother asks the state. A state, says lawyer Piera Buffoli, who has his responsibility also in the feminicides "because he is not able to protect the woman, but not even to educate men".
Monia was killed by the ex-boyfriend who had got rid of the body by throwing it into a sack at the bottom of a ravine and then for three days had helped the family during the searches. Now the ball passes to the Rome judges and on Tuesday the trial admission hearing is scheduled.
