The list opens with the iPad launched in 2010, when Steve Jobs was still alive, which for Time represented "a cultural change in the world of personal computers". Following the Tesla Model S presented in 2012 that "has reshaped the path of the automotive industry forcing competitors to embrace a battery-powered future".
The list also includes the Raspberry Pi (launched in 2012), a low-cost computer, as small as a PC card, originally designed to teach coding at school and then also used by engineers, sold to date in 25 million units .
