Thomas Gottschalk's confusion when he left BR. Now it has been announced that the moderator should make radio for SWR3 in the future. TV projects are also being considered.

Thomas Gottschalk switches to Südwestrundfunk. As the broadcaster announced, the 69-year-old will host a weekly radio program on SWR3 from January. In addition, Gottschalk and SWR were currently developing ideas for television.

In the two-hour radio show, Gottschalk will be discussing music, current excitement and celebrities with co-moderator Constantin Zöller, 32. SWR3 program director Thomas Jung said that he was pleased that the two were facing up to the challenge of young against old. "Radio is my passion," said Gottschalk. He had neither forgotten nor learned anything.

The broadcast is always scheduled for 1pm on Mondays, starting on January 13th. There is no title yet. In addition, Gottschalk will produce a podcast with SWR3 presenter Nicola Müntefering from January.

After only four episodes, the last edition of Gottschalk's literary program was broadcast on Bavarian Radio in early December. The moderator had previously announced that he would turn his back on the BR. His reasoning that this was "for health reasons" had caused confusion. Gottschalk later said: "I told stupid stuff."
