(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 18 - From February 10, on first show on RAI 1 comes the second season of The brilliant genius. The events of the second book of The Brilliant Friend take exactly from where the first season ended. Lila (Gaia Girace) and Elena (Margherita Mazzucco) are sixteen years old and feel like they are in a blind alley. Lila has just married but, in assuming the husband's surname, she has the impression of having lost herself.
Elena is now a model student but, during her friend's wedding table, she realized that she is not well either in or out. During a holiday in Ischia the two friends will find Nino Sarratore (Francesco Serpico), an old childhood acquaintance who has become a university student of beautiful hopes. The meeting, apparently casual, will change constantly in the nature of their bond, projecting them into two completely different worlds. Lila becomes a skilled saleswoman in the elegant shoe store of the powerful Solara family in Naples; Elena, on the other hand, stubbornly continues to read and is willing to go to attend the University of Pisa. The events of The Brilliant Friend drag us into the very vital youth of the two girls, into the concise rhythm they follow each other, get lost, find each other again.
"Amica Geniale - Storia del Nuovo Cognome" (8 episodes of 50 ') is produced by The Apartment and Wildside, part of Fremantle, and daFandango in collaboration with Rai Fiction and with HBO Entertainment and in co-production with Umedia. The series, by Saverio Costanzo taken from the Best Seller by Elena Ferrante, edited by Edizioni E / O, saw the participation of 125 actors and thousands of extras, about 8500 adults and 860 minors, and the creation of about 2,000 costumes between original and repertoire creations.
