Risk trial for two carabinieri accused, according to their positions, of having blindfolded Chistian Gabriel Natale Hjorth, while he was under arrest in a barracks in via in Selci for the story of Mario Cerciello Rega, the carabiniere killed in Rome last July, and took a photo then spread.

The Rome Public Prosecutor's Office closed the investigation, an act that preceded the request for indictment, against two soldiers of the Arma in service at the time of the events in via in Selci. In particular, the public prosecutors in Piazzale Clodio, coordinated by the prosecutor Michele Prestipino and the adjunct Nunzia D'Elia, dispute the carabiniere Fabio Manganaro with the accusation of a penalty measure not permitted by law to have blindfolded the young Californian, while to his colleague Silvio Pellegrini the crime of abuse of office and publication of image of a person deprived of his liberty for having taken the photo, then diffused.

The image of Gabriel Christian Hjort, blindfolded and with his head bowed in a room of the barracks of via in Selci, was spread "on at least two Whatsapp chats, of which one entitled 'veterans ex Secondigliano' with 18 participants, from which he was then further spread by third parties to other subjects and chats "causing the young American 'unjust damage'". This is what the prosecutors in Rome wrote in the closing of the investigation against the carabiniere Silvio Pellegrini. "specific indications on the first investigative results obtained (about for example the fact that the boys were looking for cocaine) thus violating the duties inherent to the functions or the service or in any case abusing his qualities, revealed to third parties news that they had to remain secret (such being that relating to the identification of suspects during judicial police investigations) and in any case facilitating knowledge ".

Sandro Ottaviani, former carabinieri station commander of the Rome-Piazza Farnese station, risks ending up on trial, because he falsely testified that on the night of the murder of the deputy brigade, his colleague Andrea Varriale had handed him the ordinance gun to the ready rescue of the Santo Spirito hospital.

The prosecutor's office closed this line of investigation, disputing the crime of forgery to the lieutenant.
