Gigi Riva is honorary president of Cagliari

Gigi Riva, European champion and vice-champion of the world, blue top scorer with 35 goals and rossoblu bomber of the scudetto, is the new honorary president of Cagliari. The official appointment - after the announcement in the last few days by President Tommaso Giulini - arrived this morning during the board of the island club. Riva had already been president of Cagliari in 1986.
"Riva is the first fan of the team - Giulini said - everything was born naturally after a few chats.
