(ANSA) - MILAN, DECEMBER 18 - The Italian legislation preventing Vivendi from holding a 28.8% stake in Mediaset, equal to 29.94% of voting rights, is contrary to EU law. This was stated by the general lawyer of the EU Court, Campos Sanchez-Bordona, in the conclusions of the French group's appeal against the resolution of the AgComche, according to the Gasparri law, obliged Vivendi to transfer to Simon Fiduciaria the quota exceeding 10% in Mediaset, as a significant shareholder also in Tim. The opinion of the lawyer does not bind the Court's decision, expected in March, but often anticipates its contents.
