(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 19 - A sad story that could not be more sad, and yet '18 presents' by Francesco Amato, inspired by the extraordinary story of Elisa Girotto, in the end it is a great hymn to life that moves beyond. Perfect as well for a Christmas outing, that of January 2nd with VisionDistribution. What does this sort of dramedy tell you? The true story of Elisa Girotto, a woman who moved the world, leaving the ladies for her daughter's future birthdays when she discovered having a tumor and little time to see her grow up. Thus, as the film is, every year Alessio (Edoardo Leo) gives his daughter Anna (Benedetta Porcaroli) a gift left by her mother Elisa (Vittoria Puccini). But Anna grows like a rebel, at war with the world and the father himself, having never really accepted his mother's death. So the day of her eighteenth birthday, when she finds herself dismissing her mother's last reporter, her anger is at its peak, so much so that she escapes from the party organized for her by her relatives. She finds herself wandering in the night on the street when a car suddenly hits her. When he wakes up in hospital, he finds himself, in a sort of space-time crisis, confronting that mother he never knew (he is in fact the one who invested it). For them, mother and daughter, the opportunity finally to get to know each other. (HANDLE).
