(ANSA) - BEIRUT, DECEMBER 20 - Supporters of the former Prime Minister of Saad Hariri blocked some roads today in the capital Beirut and in other cities of the country as a sign of protest of the nomination yesterday as head of the government in charge of Hassan Diab, supported by the pro-Iranian Hezbollah. In Beirut, Hariri's supporters took to the streets in Corniche al Mazraa, in the southern part of the city. Blocky roads have been recorded in central Bekaa, in the area where the Sunni community is the majority near the international road to Damascus. For his part, on his Twitter profile, Hariri turned to his supporters by inviting them to go home and free the road: "If you love me, go away from the road", wrote Hariri a few minutes ago.
