Five men were on trial in Kleve for being accused of group rape. The agency has now fined four out of five of the defendants. There is no evidence that two women were forced to perform sexual acts against their will, a spokesman said.
There is also no evidence of anesthesia for women with co-drops. The two women were not completely clouded in consciousness. Although they were clearly alcoholic, this was not against their will. Four of the five men received the fines of 700 to 2700 euros because they had taken pictures during sex without the consent of the women. One accused was acquitted of all charges.
The prosecution had applied for up to seven and a half years in prison. She saw it as proven that the two women had fallen victim to the men in an apartment in Krefeld. However, toxicological studies had shown no evidence of co-drops.
The prosecutor unsuccessfully filed a motion for bias against the court during the trial after the court released the warrant. The men were charged with rape, dangerous bodily harm and the violation of personal life. There were only convictions in the last point.
