Christmas 1944: Farewell to jazz star Glenn Miller

Musically against the Nazis: US jazz musician Glenn Miller rose to one of the greatest swing stars in the late 1930s. With his band the trombonist achieved number 1 hits like "In The Mood" and "Tuxedo Junction". In 1942 he joined the army to keep up the morale of the Allied troops in Europe with his music. At the end of 1944 Miller wanted to give a Christmas concert in liberated Paris. But he <b> disappeared without a trace - and his band was in shock. </ B>
