The Dakar landing in Saudi Arabia has not yet started, but the first accident has already arrived. In the edition that marks the return to the African desert of the race that will start from Jeddah on 5 January, a bad accident occurred in the shakedow, a sort of prologue show to the actual race. Czech driver Martin Kolomy of the MP-Sports team suffered a serious accident before the start of the Dakar Rally 2020 and will have to abandon the competition. Kolomy, aboard a Ford F-150 Raptor, lost control in the middle of the shakedown, damaging the vehicle and seriously injuring himself. For this reason he cannot participate in the race.
