A military plane crashed in the Darfur region of Sudan: 18 people died, including children. The army reports it.
The plane crashed five minutes after taking off from the airport of El Geneina, capital of the state of West Darfur, in western Sudan, where it had transported humanitarian aid, specifies a statement from the Sudanese army.
The city of El Geneina has been the scene of clashes between Arab and African tribes in the last days that have caused the death of almost 50 people.
