(ANSA) - NEW YORK, JAN 10 - JK Rowling is getting ready to become even richer: next summer in New York the first official megastore dedicated to Harry Potter will open.
The flagship store will occupy three floors of a building next to the iconic Flatiron, Eataly area, to be understood, in the heart of Manhattan.
"It will be the largest Harry Potter store in the world and a must-have for the most enthusiastic fans because of the interactive experiences and 'selfie' opportunities offered," said Sarah Roots, vice president of the travel and retail division of Warner Bros, the Hollywood studio of films in the series.
The date of the inauguration has yet to be fixed: the District Council unanimously contested the Superette design studio's project to install architectural details (dragon-shaped flagpoles, for example), to modify the facade of the historic Roadway building, one of the first built exclusively for commercial purposes: "If Harry Potter can install a dragon, Nike will be able to install a shoe, and the baker around the corner uncroissant. It is not known where it will end", was the motivation.
The flagship "will house the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products in the world," said Warner. (HANDLE).
