(ANSA) - BEIRUT, JAN 10 - Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdel Mahdi has explicitly requested the US to send a delegation to Iraq to prepare for the withdrawal of US troops in the country. The pan-Arab media reported on a note from the Iraqi premier's office. AbdelMahdi spoke with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo last night by telephone asking for an American government delegation to be sent to Iraq to "set up mechanisms that will make the Iraqi parliament's decision to withdraw foreign troops effective" from the country.
