EU: 1,000 billion in investments with green deals

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JAN 14 - "With the green deal we want to achieve zero emissions by 2050. The sustainable investment plan adopted today by the EU" aims to "mobilize at least one trillion investments in the next ten years" and sends a clear signal to all : "when investing you need to think green". Thus the Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis. "The mechanism for an equitable transition, which will help the transformation of the European economy in the most troubled regions, will have a budget of 100 billion euros," announced Vice-President Frans Timmermans. The new funds are only 7.5 billion, which according to the EU Commission will give rise to 30-50 billion of public investments, in addition to up to 45 billion from the old investment program, and 25 in loan to the local authorities. We will review, if possible we will correct, the legislation policy on state aid in line with the Green Deal's political objectives, "said Vice-President Paolo Gentiloni.
