The president of the Port System Authority of Genoa and Savona, Paolo Emilio Signorini is worried by the forecasts of the effects of the coronavirus on the Chinese economy, which would have an inevitable impact on the interchanges and therefore on the port of Genoa. "We are talking about a commercial partner that in terms of container activities for the port of Genoa weighs 15-20% of the traffic - explains Signorini - so if it were to contraction in the exchange with China for the port, it would have a negative effect that we should think of to face and to keep in some way.
