About laurel songs: In recent years Daphne Dekel celebrates the stages. After conquering the Eurovision stage, starring in dozens of shows and programs for children and coping with a time spent at work, she returned to the stage with a huge lead role in successful musicals.
At the same time, she is also investing in her musical career, which is also gaining momentum. About a year ago, the single "Standing Out" passed the playlist hurdle and is now releasing "Without Fear," written and composed by Amit Tzach, with whom she has been working for years.

"It's a song that gives hope, a grip point," explains Dekel (53). "I connected with his words in a second, because I didn't feel like singing about what was difficult or painful. The truth was, when a colleague sent the mix of the song, it was a little before my dad passed away. To him and I cried like a girl, from a song I recorded (laughs) I didn't expect it to break me up, but there was something about it that penetrated very deeply.

"It also happened to me with 'standing by' a year ago. My father passed away two months ago from dementia, we were very close. This song basically talks about the fact that in the end, you have to remember that you have to get up the next day, no matter what happened or how hard you were "You have to find a way to turn a moment of steel into a moment of gold."

Are you a generally optimistic person?

"Absolutely, maybe even (laughs). Even in difficult situations when everyone around me is falling apart, I always find loopholes through which you can get your head out and get out."

As mentioned, eight years ago, she decided to retire from the world of children, and decided on a career change. She paid the price in three years of silence, which eventually led her back to where it all began.

"I am a fatalist," says Dekel. "I truly believe in the deepest things that happen to you happen for a reason. It was clear to me that there would be a price, that I make a conscious choice and pay for it. And that really happened.

"There were three simple years of silence, but I told myself it was done for a good cause. Now I really feel the profit from investing. When I took this professional risk everyone around me looked at me like I was going crazy. They told me it was financially difficult, that it was to cut the industry that I am. Sitting on it, it would be hard for me to come back ... and here, with a lot of patience - things happen. "

And things did happen. Her significant foothold in the adult entertainment world began with "Billy Elliott," and then came roles in the Habima and Chaplin musicals at the Tel Aviv Theater, running to this day. Despite the great success, Palm is already ready for the next step - serious shows.

"It's a genre I really like, but in the end it's repetitive. I feel like shaking the system and doing something unrelated to it. To Eurovision. "

If you've already mentioned the Eurovision - how involved are you with what's happening this year?

"I can't keep track of 'The Next Star', but of course I was involved in Eurovision in Israel. There is no plan that did not appeal to all Eurovision graduates throughout the ages. To a younger generation kicking things off. "

The new single will be launched by Palm in a special performance near International Women's Day (Wednesday, March 4, Terminal 4, Tel Aviv) and will feature Ronnie Dalumi and Elran Dekel.

"This is the fifth single to be released in recent years working with Amit Zach. We are considering bundling everything into a mini album. We speak the same language, and he also shoots me stills and video. We created a mash, a bit like marriage."
