China: avian chickens in Hunan

Chinese authorities have detected cases of H5N1 avian virus in Shaoyang, central Hunan province, with around 4,500 infected chickens. The Global Times reports this, based on the information provided by the Ministry of Agriculture. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - BEIJING, FEB 1 - Chinese authorities have detected cases of H5N1 bird flu in Shaoyang, central Hunan province, with around 4,500 infected chickens.
The Global Times reports, based on the information provided by the Ministry of Agriculture. Overall, nearly 20,000 animals were killed after the infection was confirmed.
The province of Hunan borders with that of Hubei, where the outbreak of the new Wuhan coronavirus arose.
