(ANSA) - TEHERAN, FEB 1 - Celebrations have begun in Iran for the 41st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, which led to the fall of the Shah Reza Pahlavi in 1979.
The commemorations traditionally began at the almausoleum dedicated to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, in the presence of the Supreme Guide Ali Khamenei.
The celebrations, which began today with the anniversary of Khomeini's return home after 15 years of exile, and will end on 11, the "victory day" of the Islamic revolution in 1979.
