Call of Duty Modern Warfare is updated almost weekly with new updates. But the latest patch causes damage to some users. Accounts are at risk.

  • January patch in Call of Duty Modern Warfare is said to bring improvements.
  • Mistakes make every gamers worst fear a reality.
  • Player threatens Activision after deleted account.

The long-awaited Call of Duty Modern Warfare Patch was released on January 22. Fans of the first person shooter had to wait several weeks until the 50GB update finally came. In addition to some adjustments to the gameplay, a new weapon and several bug fixes should be in the foreground and cause fans to cheer. What developer Infinity Ward did not expect, however, is that not only was the update gigantic, but also the problems associated with it. One of these mistakes now makes every Call of Duty player's greatest fear bitter reality.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare: 50 GB update will delete the account

Call of Duty Modern Warfare PC gamers were amazed when they saw the size of the update. Around 50 GB had to be downloaded in order to play Modern Warfare again. For comparison: The main game Call of Duty Modern Warfare already required over 100 GB of storage space , which angered some players when it was released in October 2019. But the mega update also had good sides.

War was announced for wall hackers in Ground War mode and the slide exploit . In addition to these two problems, the third additional weapon was also introduced into the game. The crossbow is now available in Modern Warfare . Even if the weapon appeared in earlier parts of Call of Duty, it has been properly adjusted for Modern Warfare. The patch not only brought joy, but also horror, because some players report that their Activision account was completely deleted after the update.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare player threatens Activision after deleted account

The user " SolJin13 " explained his situation on Reddit. After the update on January 22, his Activision account suddenly disappeared. He is not alone with this problem, some other players are said to have suffered the same mistake. If it turns out that the deleted accounts are not an isolated case, the multi-billion dollar publisher is faced with a genuine shit storm.

Since - as the Reddit user claims - neither customer service nor Activision themselves are currently helping with this problem , the desperate player is now looking for support on Reddit . He threatens to write a post every day until Activision takes care of it. It remains to be seen whether players will get their Activision account back after the mega update or will actually have to start over.

There was a similar bug a few days ago. In order to play Modern Warfare, players had to reset their rank. On ingame.de you can read how to avoid this bug.

A user posted a very funny video on Reddit. He also had a bug in CoD: MW, which meant that he practically died before the game the second the match was about to start.

In the latest patch from Call of Duty Modern Warfare, the MP5 and M4 were really hit. We show the weakening of the weapons in detail. But Infinity Ward has introduced a new game mode with the new update, which is called Deathmatch Domination. As the name suggests, this is a combination of Team Deathmatch and Domination modes. So you get not only points for occupying the flags on the map, but also for enemy kills. The points are then combined to create a whole new gaming experience.
