To celebrate "Pokémon Day", Nintendo is sending a new gigadynamax pocket monster out into the world. We reveal when and how Gigadynamax-Riffex can be caught.

On February 27, 1996, Nintendo released the first Pokémon video games - "Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green". In the run-up to the anniversary, the Japanese are bringing new Pokémon to the current games "Pokémon Sword & Shield" and "Pokémon Go". One of them is the Gigadynamax Riffex. However, it is only in the game for a certain period of time.
"Pokémon Sword & Shield": Two Gigadynamax Riffex
From February 7, from 1 a.m. German time to March 9, 00:59 a.m. German time, a special riffex appears in "Pokémon Sword & Shield" - namely in the gigadynamax form . There will even be two different versions: one for "Pokémon Sword" and one for "Pokémon Shield".
You can catch the special Pokémon in the new Dyna Raids . These can be found in the natural zone of "Pokémon Sword & Shield *". A red or pink light beam indicates a nest with a chance of a gigadynamax riffex. A Dynamax Pokémon can be immediately drawn out with a piece of wish. Players shouldn't forget to connect their Nintendo Switch * to the Internet to update the schedule of rare encounters in raids.

"Pokémon Go": Mewtwo in armor from February 25th
To celebrate the announced animated film " Pokémon: Mewtwo ", which will launch on February 27th on Netflix, Mewtwo appears in armor in legendary raids on "Pokémon Go *". There are also supposed to be more Pokémon appearing that play a role in the new film. Pokémon clones like Bisaflor, Charizard and Turtok will appear in raid battles.

Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle with party hats can also hatch from 7 km eggs. As an added bonus, when celebrating Pokémon Day, players will be able to do a special trade twice with their friends.
Vote for the Pokémon of the Year
Nintendo is also looking for the Pokémon of the Year . If you search for the term "Pokémon vote" via Google, a vote will be displayed in the search engine. Until February 14, 2020, players can vote for their favorite Pokémon in eight categories.
