This Monday, through the publication of the Official Gazette, the Government made the process more flexible so that families between 4 and 17 years of age can collect the 2020 school aid allowance delivered by the Anses. From now on, it will not be necessary to present the regular student certificate to December 2019 as stipulated.

The Resolution published this Monday establishes a change in the requirements to be able to collect the fixed amount that is delivered in the month of March of each year for those who receive the Family Allowance for Children or the Universal Allowance for Children . The change was made by the "emergency economic and social context" and before the imminent start of the school year.

It is a sum of, so far, $ 2,300 per child who regularly attends basic and polymodal schools or, regardless of age, if they attend official or private establishments of differential education. It is estimated that a new adjustment should be made by mobility.

Last year it had been established that the certificate proving the status of a regular student of the educational establishment until December 31 of each year had to be presented, but now that requirement was eliminated. The decision of the change was justified by the Government as part of the declaration of the public emergency in economic, financial, fiscal, administrative, social security, tariff, energy, health and social matters, due to the situation facing the country.

“The lack of presentation of school certificates as of December 31, 2019 is not necessarily linked to discontinuous school trajectories; therefore, it is necessary to continue deepening the work articulated with the different agencies and ministries to carry out joint actions that tend to solve the barriers so that children and adolescents can access and sustain the right to Social Security, ”said Anses in the resolution.

This assignment can only be charged by one of the parents and is available to monotributistas, as long as they belong to a category less than I and have their payments up to date.

ANSES school aid will be charged between the third week of March and the second of April of this year. The order is not assigned by DNI, but priority is given to those families that have more urgency to collect the allowance, for example, according to the number of children or the area of residence.
