(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, FEB 10 - The extension of Israeli sovereignty to Jewish settlements in the West Bank and Jordan Valley "will be done in agreement with the US and not in a unilateral way". This was said by Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahur referring to the controversies of these days when both Trump's adviser Jared Kushner and US Ambassador DavidFriedman had warned Israel not to take unilateral actions in the wake of the Peace Plan presented by the American president. "The recognition of this sovereignty by the US - added Netanyahu, accused by the right of not wanting to proceed immediately to the annexations - will take place at the end of the mapping work of the areas that is proceeding". In Trump's plan it establishes that the mapping of the areas in question must be done by a joint US-Israel committee. Netanyahu also stressed - on a visit to the Jordan Valley - that the connections "do not depend on the approval of the Palestinians", who are strongly opposed to the Plan itself.
