(ANSA) - ANCONA, FEBRUARY 12 - In the proceedings for the expenses of the council groups and individual regional councilors of the Marche, the Sixth Section of the Cassation annulled, with referral to the Court of Appeal of Perugia, the acquittals from the accused accusation pronounced by the Court of Ancona's appeal regarding the former president of the Region Gian Mario Spacca, the former secretary of the Democratic Party Francesco Comi, the former vice-president of the regional council Giacomo Bugaro, the former councilor Massimo Binci and the former assistant to the Pd group Oscar Roberto Ricci. The defendants' lawyers, in Rome, had asked the Court to declare the appeal against the acquittals on appeal filed by the General Prosecutor of the Ancona Court of Appeal inadmissible, concerning expenses incurred between 2008 and 2012, in two different legislations. The appellate judges, reiterating what was established at first instance in abbreviated form by the gup of Ancona, had considered the reimbursements for the expenses made "in the performance of political activity in the broad sense" to be legitimate.
