(ANSA) - BEIJING, FEBRUARY 13 - WhatsApp, Facebook's popular instant messaging platform, has been locked in China for a few days: accounts linked to local mobile numbers are the main sufferers. Despite being banned together with other foreign apps, such as Facebook and Twitter, the operation of WhatsApp has been possible sometimes even without the use of vpn, virtual networks that bypass the censorship's Great Firewall.
The Internet in general seems to be working with difficulty than usual in both Beijing and other major Chinese cities.
