(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 13 - The spread between BTP and Bund has narrowed to 126.5 basis points reaching the lows since May 2018. The learning of the Italian 10-year period is down to 0.85%. The drop coincides with the auction in which the Treasury placed 5 billion euros of 3-year (2.25 billion) and 7-year (2.75 billion) BTPs with sharply decreasing rates. The average yield on the three-year title turned negative again, falling to -0.1% from the 0.18% of the January placement. The requests exceeded € 3.38 billion, with a coverage ratio increasing to 1.51 from 1.40. The average seven-year yield is almost halved to 0.48% from the previous 0.94%. Demand reached 3.736 billion euros with a coverage ratio down to 1.36 from 1.47.
