(ANSA) - PISA, FEBRUARY 18 - First surgical operation worldwide guided by augmented reality. The surgery was performed successfully at the S.Orsola hospital in Bologna: the surgeon wore a special augmented reality visor, which allows you to add essential information about the patient and to guide the doctor during the surgery without resorting to an external monitor. This was announced by the University of Pisacoordinatrice of the European project that created Vostars, the new generation visor employed in the intervention.
