(ANSA) - CATANZARO, FEBRUARY 19 - At the request of the DDA, the district investigating magistrate of Catanzaro dismissed the position of the ex-deputy ex-secretary of state Giuseppe Galati in the procedure called "Quinta Bolgia". Galati was investigated for external competition in a mafia association in the investigation focused on alleged wrongdoing in the management of the provincial health company, with the involvement of the management of the institution which, in November, led to the arrest of 24 people among whom the same former parliamentarian, who was placed under house arrest.
"With the filing measure - the defendants of Galati, the lawyers Francesco Gambardella and Salvatore Cerra affirmed in a note - Galati has been shown to be totally foreign to the judicial affair that had swept the provincial Sanitary Authority of Catanzaro. This is a decision that will give back justice and dignity to the former deputy, even without relieving the suffering and the bitterness that came from that ordinance for him ".
