The surroundings of the National Congress were dyed green again by the handkerchiefs of thousands of people who gathered on Wednesday to claim the legalization of abortion again.

This new "pañuelazo" is held to commemorate Green Action Day for the Right to Abortion and also includes marches the main cities in the interior of the country and abroad.

Those who promote the National Campaign for Safe and Free Legal Abortion ensure that their claim "is the great debt of democracy" and repeat that "the project is on the streets", despite the fact that the initiative was rejected by the Senate during the session held on August 9, 2018.

That frustrated attempt did not stop the claim of the militants who identify with their green scarves, who were excited about the commitment that the Government assumed to reach the law.

In this regard, Dora Barrancos, a sociologist and part of the Advisory Council of the President, considered the new handkerchief to represent "a synergistic act" of the project "for the first time the Executive Branch will send."

"We are very sure that this time it will not be just a fictional accompaniment like the one that happened last time by the Government (of former President Mauricio Macri), but there is a conviction, a decision, there has been a long statement about this law by the President , "Barrancos told Futurock.

Therefore, he considered the mobilization of today as "a synergistic act, immediate aid of the project that the Executive Power will send for the first time".

" I believe that we will have a law much sooner than we can imagine, " Barrancos risked about the possibility that this year the legal, voluntary and free abortion project will be approved, which in 2018 was approved by Deputies but rejected in the Senate.

"There has been a very important change especially in Deputies that our calculations say that the will and awareness of obtaining the law are more comfortable," he said.

Regarding the Senate, he pointed out that "the issue is a bit more adjusted but we will have to work very sensibly and consistently ."
