(ANSA) - VATICAN CITY, MAR 1 - The Pope will not go to Ariccia today, as planned, for the spiritual exercises. "Unfortunately the cold forces me not to participate this year, I will follow the meditations from here," he said to the Angelus asking for prayers for the Lenten retreat of the Curia. The Pope will therefore not be physically at the Casa del DivinMaestro, but will follow the spiritual exercises from the Casa Santa Martain Vaticano.
Continue to suffer from a cold and cough. During the Angelus, several times he had to stop just because of the cough. It is from Thursday that the Pope, due to this indisposition, remained in Santa Marta, where he continued to celebrate mass and to have meetings, renouncing instead appointments outside the Vatican and also those in the agenda in the Apostolic Palace.
