The Minister of Health, Ginés González García, said Tuesday that the first case of coronavirus in Argentina is "imported" and stressed that " all protocols are being met ."

"He is an imported patient, who came from Italy and shows that we are working complying with all protocols and in absolute synchrony and synergy," said the minister at a press conference.

He added that the situation " does not change how much we are doing , but we are going to look day by day."

"The lord has collaborated intensely with all the authorities. He remains interned. The lord was in several places in Europe, but mainly in northern Italy. He is a passenger who traveled first class," said Minister González García.

The minister also confirmed that the coronavirus patient completed the form requested by the health authorities at the Ezeiza International Airport. " Many times not even the patient, who was collaborative, could determine it . As soon as he felt a symptom he resorted to a private establishment," he justified.

For its part, the Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti, recommended that in case of any suspicion "an early consultation should be carried out, minimize contact with other people and refer the background so that the health system can attend to it and generate the actions of isolation ".

During the press conference, it was indicated that the case is of "mild intensity" and Minister González García explained that "he will remain" interned "until the period of isolation is completed."

" There is a matter of fear in society that is overactive . I understand that no one is calm but it is a disease that in most cases does not require hospitalization, that we still do not have here, that we will fight so that it does not spread. What happened is not that it will be generalized, we will try not to generalize, "González García said.

The minister made these statements after confirming the first case of coronavirus in Argentina: it is a 43-year-old man who was admitted to the Swiss Clinic Argentina shortly after returning from Italy.
