Antonio Banderas joins Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg in Uncharted

The unforgettable hero of Martin Campbell's Zorro Mask will play for the first time in a video game-inspired film.


The exploration can finally begin. After seeing a succession of numerous directors and having been postponed on numerous occasions, the adaptation of the video game Uncharted finally seems on the right track. Ruben Fleisher is definitely in charge of this film which brings together Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg to play respectively the young Nathan Drake and his mentor Victor Sullivan, adventurers in search of treasures.

According to Variety , the director of Venom can also count on a recruit as prestigious as Antonio Banderas who has miraculously just joined the cast. Spanish actor, Oscar-nominated for role in Pedro Almodovar's Pain and Glory film , embarks on the adventure. He is accompanied by Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle, respectively seen in Grey's Anatomy and The 100 . If their presence is recorded, we do not yet know which characters they should play.

The film is expected for March 2021 and the shooting of Uncharted should start in a few weeks, this is what Tom Holland announced at the microphone of the IGN site. According to him, the script written by the duo Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, who worked on Men in Black: International , should be inspired by the fourth part of the eponymous video game.
