The Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the province of Entre Ríos confirmed on Wednesday the sentence to life imprisonment imposed on Nahir Galarza for the murder of her boyfriend Fernando Pastorizzo, committed on December 29, 2017 in the city of Gualeguaychú. Thus, the defense of the young woman has a single instance of appeal, before the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, the Court - chaired by Miguel Giorgio and also composed by the members Daniel Carubia and Claudia Mizawak - rejected the "extraordinary challenge" presented by the defense of Galarza, in which an annulment of the sentence was requested. It weighs on the young woman.

Nahir Galarza was sentenced to life imprisonment for the crime of her boyfriend, Fernando Pastorizzo.

With this confirmation, Galarza will continue to serve a sentence of life imprisonment in Penal Unit 6 Concepción Arenal, in Paraná, which implies 35 years of imprisonment.

After this setback, the defense of Galarza could go to an "extraordinary federal appeal", which is regulated by the National Civil and Commercial Procedural Code, and that would reach the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.

Before arriving at the Entre Rican Superior Court of Justice, Galarza's lawyers had appealed to the Concordia Criminal Cassation Chamber to review the judgment of the Judgment and Appeals Court of Gualeguaychú. There, on July 3, 2018, the girl was sentenced to life imprisonment for aggravated homicide for her relationship with the victim.

Order of Justice March by Fernando, in July 2018.

For the complainant lawyers, it is difficult for the case to be accepted by the Supreme Court of the Nation, so, from their point of view, the resolution on Wednesday would be final.

Nahir Galarza is already serving his sentence in the women's prison in Paraná (El Argentino)

The homicide occurred on December 29, 2017, at 5.30. Then, Fernando Pastorizzo, who was 20 years old and had a relationship with the accused, was found dead in the street with a shot in the back and another in the chest. He was next to his motorcycle and there were two helmets beside him.

Nahir Galarza, who was 19 at the time, first said he had last seen him last night, but then evidence was added that led to him confessing the fact. Advised by his lawyers, he changed his version so that the crime would remain "accidental."
