A woman who is employed at the Swiss Clinic and Maternity Argentina has symptoms compatible with the coronavirus. The case was confirmed today by the Province of Buenos Aires as one of the 7 patients of that district that are being studied.
The case becomes relevant because it is in that clinic that the only confirmed case of coronavirus in the country was admitted until now. The woman is a sanitarium cleaning employee.
The patient, about 40 years old, lives in Lomas de Zamora and is admitted to a private clinic in Monte Grande, as confirmed by sources in the municipality.
One version indicated that the woman had cleaned the patient's room, which was then transferred to the Agote Clinic. Clarín consulted the Swiss authorities, who could not confirm that.
The patient arrived on Wednesday night to attend the clinic of Monte Grande, with febrile symptoms , and as she informed that she worked in that clinic, the protocol was immediately followed. A sample was sent to the Malbrán Institute, whose result would be ready on Friday morning.
In the case of confirmation, this would be the first indigenous infection, that is, within the country. The patient considered "0" met this week in Argentina: a 43-year-old man who returned from Milan last Sunday morning and was admitted to the Swiss at night. He was then transferred to the Agote clinic and his condition was stable.
