Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira may not be available for several months after he broke his right ankle on Monday in the 2-0 FA Cup win against Portsmouth.
The club announced it.
The 24-year-old Uruguayan international was released on a stretcher in the 16th minute, after suffering a very violent foul from defender James Bolton, who was not whistled by the referee. Arsenal, already without Sead Kolasinac and Cédric Soares for a few weeks, said that the duration of the unavailability of Torreira will be known after further tests. His participation in the 2020 edition of Copa America, which will take place in Argentina and Colombia from June 12, is however in doubt.
