(ANSA) - NAPLES, MARCH 05 - This afternoon "on the southern front of the ancient city, along the viale delle ginestre, a portion of the face of an external wall has occurred, east of the Terme del Sarno building, in an area not accessible to the public. " This was announced by the Pompeii Archaeological Park which, in a note, explains that "it is reconstruction material dating back to the time of the excavation of that area, and part of the underlying filling in pulverized emalta stones".
"The whole area of the southern front, which goes from the temple of Venus to the Triangular Forum, has long been the subject of attention because of the numerous ecstatic structural criticalities it has presented, since ancient times, housing houses overhanging the rocky ridge, articulated over several levels which encompass part of the walls ", it is underlined.
