(ANSA) - PADUA, MARCH 6 - They embraced each other along the track on the Padua-Bologna line for a few meters and then let themselves be overwhelmed by a train in transit, near the Battaglia Terme station (Padua). The victims are a man and a woman of about 40 years old. The two, according to a primary construction, left the Battaglia station and some witnesses then saw them walking along the track.
When the train arrived, they would huddle close to each other, letting the convoy run over them.
On the ballast of the same line, in the morning, near Monselice, there had been another tragedy: a 39-year-old man had been found dead next to the track. The causes of death in this case are still unclear.
