(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 6 - Tim has put in place an "anticompetitive strategy preordained to hinder the insensitive competitive development of investments in direct broadband infrastructures". It is the Antitrust judgment that decided to impose a pecuniary sanction of approximately € 116 million on the company, "balancing the need to ensure the necessary deterrence with respect to possible future conduct with the need that the sanction should not be unjustifiably restrictive". The fine can be paid by October 1st next "in consideration of the serious difficulties that the production system of our country is facing, deriving from the extraordinary epidemiological emergency from COVID-19, as well as the high amount".
