The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's coming to a music festival in London sparked cries of joy from the audience.

They drew the wrath of the queen, but not of the public. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were warmly greeted by the public upon their arrival at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday evening, one of their last engagements as senior members of the royal family.

The couple attended a concert as part of the Mountbatten Festival of Music, which brings together musicians, composers and conductors from the Royal Navy based around the world. When they arrived in front of the hall entrance, cheers were heard all around them. The image was immortalized by reporters from the ITV channel.

Harry and Meghan received a standing ovation as they attended one of their final events before ceasing front line royal duties.

On Friday, the couple had already made a remarkable trip to London by attending an awards ceremony for the sports achievements of wounded and sick soldiers. Many images showed them smiling and happy for their first outing in the United Kingdom since the announcement of their separation from the royal family.

These engagements are indeed the last of the couple before their withdrawal from the royal family. They will lose their title of royal highnesses on March 31.

The announcement of their removal in January had shocked the British public and the royal family. For several months already, the former actress Meghan Markle had confessed to suffering from the harsh treatment that the British press gave him. "I lost my mother and now I see my wife becoming the victim of the same powerful forces", had also denounced Prince Harry.

Harry and Meghan have already bought a luxurious home on the outskirts of Victoria, on the west coast of Canada, where they plan to live with their son Archie, born in May 2019. The couple announced that they would devote themselves, in particular, to charitable commitments.
