(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MARCH 10 - Madonna cancels two stages of her Madame X in Paris after the French government stops the gatherings with over a thousand people. The pop staress announced it on her website. But Madonna is not the only one to have changed her plans in the name of safety and public health. Pearl Jam has also decided to postpone their tour in North America.
Several other American artists have canceled or postponed most of their engagements outside the United States, including Miley Cyrus, Ciara, BTS, Khalid, Mariah Carey, GreenDay.
The same goes for festivals. After South by Southwest's decision to cancel the 2020 edition, Coachella, one of the largest music festivals in the world held every spring in California, is now in danger of being postponed. The organizers assume October as a possible next date.
Fears of a coronavirus infection do not spare television shows either. For example, the popular 'The wheel of fortune', broadcast on NBC, has decided to record episodes without a live audience. (HANDLE).
