More and more people are eating vegan. Edeka is now jumping on the trend and expanding its meat-free range with two new dishes. More information here:
Good news for vegans and supporters of vegan dishes: Edeka supermarket is expanding its vegan range. As RUHR24.de * reports, the meatless dishes consist of pea and soy proteins, herbs and spices.
Edeka is not the first supermarket to use vegan dishes such as burgers and hack in its own brand. The Edeka own brand is called "No Meat. Just ...". * With the burger and the hack, there are initially two options for vegans.
Interesting: Beetroot juice ensures the correct appearance of the meatless meat alternatives. The proteins from peas and soy as well as the spices should provide for the taste. Whether that works is up to the judgment of the buyers and eaters.
The idea with the vegan dishes is not new: Lidl, but also Aldi and Netto, the subsidiary of Edeka, have already brought vegan products such as burgers and hack onto the market. Accordingly, there was ridicule for Edeka on social networks, as RUHR24.de writes.
