(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 12 - Consob has decided to temporarily ban short selling on 85 Italian shares. The ban is valid for the whole day tomorrow.
Consob announced it in a note.
The decision, which is unprecedented in terms of the size of the securities involved, "was adopted in application of the Uedel 2012 regulation on" Short Selling ", taking into account the change in the price recorded by the securities on 12 March 2020 (higher than the thresholds set from the citation regulation) ".
According to what is known, a similar decision was adopted by the Spanish authority for the securities of the Madrid Stock Exchange.
