National and European competitions, including the European 2020 championship, will be at the center of a meeting convened on Tuesday by UEFA "to discuss the response of European football" to the coronavirus emergency, which will be attended by the 55 associated federations, the boards of the European Club Association and European Leagues and a representative of Fifpro (the International Federation of Professional Footballers).

A conference call has already taken place between the UEFA secretary, Giorgio Marchetti, and representatives of the five main European leagues (Serie A, Premier League, Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue1). The Serie A League, but also the WHO, would be pressuring to stop at least Champions and Europa League.

Meanwhile, apart from Inter-Getafe and Sevilla-Roma already postponed, UEFA has confirmed that the other six first legs of the Europa League round of 16 scheduled for today will be played: Basaksehir-Copenhagen, Olympiacos-Wolverhampton, Rangers -Leverkusen, Wolfsburg-Shakhtar Donetsk, Eintracht Frankfurt-Basel and Lask-Manchester United.

Instead, all Elite rounds of the European Under 17 men's and women's Championships and the Under 19 men's and women's Championships scheduled from 14 March to 14 April have been postponed.
