This was decided by the Ministerial Conference of the Federal States on March 12, 2020, according to information from the State Chancellery of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
The Commission for the Determination of the Financial Needs of the Broadcasting Corporations (KEF) recommended an increase * several weeks ago after a financial gap of the broadcasters of a whopping 1.5 billion euros was found.
