BRUSSELS - Between 2010 and 2017, Italy was the European country that increased the percentage of materials recovered and reused in the production of new goods more. According to Eurostat estimates, the Peninsula recorded an increase of 6%, followed by Latvia, Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands (+ 5% each). At the opposite end of the scale, the biggest drop was recorded in Luxembourg (-15%), Finland (-11%), and Spain (-3%). Italy is confirmed as one of the first European countries for the reuse of materials in the production cycle (17.7%), after Belgium (17.8%), France (18.6%) and Holland (29.9%).
