One of Hollywood's most respected and beloved actors around the world, Tom Hanks, announced Thursday night that he and his wife, actress Rita Wilson, were diagnosed with Corona virus.
The couple, are in Australia for filming a film about the life of musician Elvis Presley, whom Hanks will produce, which is set to begin this Monday.
Hanks told the world about the distinction in his Twitter account and wrote: "Hi friends, Rita and I are in Australia. We felt tired and experienced symptoms of heat and cold, so we tested and the results came out positive."

Hanks, who suffers from diabetes, also added that the couple would continue to be tested and go into isolation and take all necessary safety measures.
Hanks plays the role of Colonel Tom Parker, Presley's manager who fostered the famous singer in the 1950s. In addition, Hanks is responsible for producing the film.
"The health of our team members is always our top priority and we take every precaution to keep everyone connected with our productions around the world," Warner Studios said.
Meanwhile, in Australia, more than 120 cases of corona virus have been diagnosed (Thursday).
