The British Prime Minister spoke on the Coronavirus pandemic which is also affecting his country.

"Many families will lose loved ones". In an address to his compatriots, the British Prime Minister warned of the danger of the Coronavirus, "more dangerous" than the flu.

Boris Johnson announced Thursday the transition to a new phase of his action plan, intended to delay the peak of the crisis until the heyday, in order to relieve pressure on health services. "This is the worst public health crisis of this generation," he said at a press conference in Downing street.

The number of people infected with the new coronavirus in the United Kingdom is "probably" between 5,000 and 10,000 people, the government estimated on Thursday, announcing new measures to contain the pandemic.

If the number of cases recorded is 590, "we are probably between 5,000 and 10,000 people currently infected," said government scientific adviser Patrick Vallance, while the UK is now trying to delay the peak of the crisis.

"We are on a trajectory which shows us that we are four weeks behind Italy and other European countries".
